A love note for Dr. Sprecher

Once upon a time… I might have had a life without pain, itching, and anxiety, but if those days existed, I don’t remember them.

Over the past decade as my symptoms worsened, I sought the help of rheumatologists, orthopedists, doctors of internal medicine, and dermatologists.I also began to experience reflux, weak nails, weight gain, tiredness, unusual bruising, bone loss and tinnitus. I just thought these were unlucky symptoms of aging.

In September of 2011 I woke up one morning to find that I could barely walk to the bathroom because of my joint pain.I realized that at 55 years of age I shouldn’t be this old.I made the phone call I had been putting off – and made the investment in myself to go see Dr. Dorothy Sprecher.

Dr. Sprecher and I met on September 22, 2011, and I began the process of healing.I learned that I had a plethora of food allergies, and bloodwork that denoted poor health.I made a commitment to do what I was told for three months (a very large order for me).I gathered my list of allergies, my “elimination diet” instructions, my Jusuru, and my supplements, and “jumped off the cliff.”

The first week of my change in eating and using new supplements I felt nauseous, light-headed, I had headaches, was often slightly dizzy, and felt very tired. Then I noticed rapid changes in my body began to take place.I began to feel good.I began losing weight, and my joint pain improved by about 80% in only the first few weeks!I had a feeling of calmness I had never experienced before, and felt no “highs or lows” during the course of the day.I started having very even levels of energy, and noticed an absence of anxiety. My body kept responding.I noticed my nails becoming stronger, my reflux disappeared, my hair and skin became softer, and my bruises looked more normal. My psoriasis improved by 90%, and I recently noticed that the tinnitus is gone.

I am now about six months into my new lifestyle.I have lost almost 30 pounds, I feel about 10-15 years younger, my skin is glowing, my blood work shows that I am in good health, my joint pain is 90% better, and my psoriasis is all but gone.I do not have reflux, nor anxiety, nor exhaustion, nor strange bruising.Putting my health first has been the best decision I’ve ever made, and I am so grateful to The Center for Hope & Healing and their entire staff for the guidance on my journey back to being me.
